Mtre François Dupuis, Notary
Mtre François Dupuis studied at the University of Ottawa, where he earned his civil law degree (LL.L) in 1987 and a notarial diploma, magna cum laude in 1988. He was admitted that same year to the notarial profession and joined Mtre Saul Morris, of the firm of Morris & Burke, which then became Morris & Dupuis.
For more than 25 years, Mtre Dupuis has mainly practiced commercial, industrial and residential real estate law and assisted in financing property sales and acquisitions. As a real estate specialist, he is frequently consulted by both clients and colleague notaries and lawyers. His expertise is often sought for negotiating and drafting purchase offers.
Over the years, Mtre Dupuis has acquired solid experience as legal advisor to numerous real estate and business development projects, advising both numerous institutional and private lenders and property developers.
Mtre Dupuis also drafts commercial leases, wills (testamentary trusts and others), mandates of protection, marriage contracts and estate documents.
Parallel to his legal work, Mtre Dupuis was elected to city council and served as leader of the official opposition in Ville LaSalle from 1995 to 2001.
